The Journey: Her Story

I started this painting in 2021. That year, I didn't have time for painting, and it was a very stressful time. One night, I couldn't take it anymore and needed an outlet. I started putting down some paint using unusual tools, like a kid's ruler, palette knives, and even my fingers, to free up some stress. After a while, an abstract portrait of a woman emerged.

Sometime later, I found a photograph of a lady that inspired me to keep working on this piece. She evolved from abstract and washed out to figurative and colorful.

You can see all the layers in this piece, it was an evolution of hurt and healing.

She is called "The Journey"
