This Guajira or Wayuu lady shows one of the icons of my birth city: Maracaibo, Venezuela.
 
This piece depicts a Wayuu lady in a traditional dress or "manta" showing a traditional Saladillo house.
Around the sides of the dress or "manta" are written part of the lyrics of the song "Hablame de Maracaibo":
Soy solo un niño y a vos te digo que en mi ciudad
Desde ese puente se ve un gran lago en la inmensidad
